Tetracolivit is an Oxytetracycline- Colistin broad spectrum antibiotic with vitamins, a combination whose activity stimulates the organism and potentiates its antimicrobial activity. Denagard is a Tiamulin hydrogen furamate based on pleuromutilin antibiotic developed for key respiratory and enteric pathogens in poultry and pigs.
Formulation
• Denagard 45% Granulate. Contains Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate 450 g/kg
• 10% feed premix. Contains Tiamulin hydrogen fumarate 100g/kg(We do not have this at the moment in Kenya).
Usage:
Denagard is registered for the treatment and prophylaxis of Mycoplasma infections (including, M. gallisepticum an M.synoviae). It is effective for the treatment and prophylaxis of CRD (especially when used in conjunction with Tetracycline’s). It is also active against Brachyspiraspp and a number of other poultry pathogens.
NB: (Do not use in broilers, unless you are sure of the coccidiostat used and the levels).
Layers:
• Mycoplasma control during rearing: Use Denagard 45% Granulate (1 g per 15 kg body weight) for 2 days, when the birds become positive. After the initial treatment, use a pulse dose regime of 100 – 200 ppm for three to five days once a month during the rearing phase.
