SURVIDIM
Soluble Granules for Injectable Solution
Diminazene Diaceturate, active ingredient of SURVIDIM, has a curative activity on trypanosomiasis and babesiosis. The B group vitamins (B12 & B6) of the formula allow a quick recovery of haematocrit. The anemia caused by the red blood cells lysis in case of trypanosomiasis is deteriorated by a rumen stasis which reduces the synthesis of these vitamins by the bacteria.
The antipyrine, included in the excipient, ensures a complete solubilization of the active ingredient and contributes to fight against inflammation
INDICATION
Cattle, sheep, goats, horses and dogs: treatment of blood protozoal diseases, especially;
- Trypanosomiasis due to Trypanosoma congolense, T. vivax and T. brucei
- Piroplasmosis due to Babesia bovis, B. bigemina, B. ovis, B. motasi and B. canis
ADMINISTRATION & DOSAGE
Deep intramuscular route.
The recommended dosage is 3.5mg of diminazene diaceturate per kg of body weight in a single injection.
Dissolve the content of the sachetof 2.36g SURVIDIM in 12.5ml sterile water (or one sachet of 23.6g in 125ml sterile water) to reconstitute and injectable solution of 15ml or 150ml
Inject 5ml of the reconstituted solution per 100kg body weight
- A 2.36g sachet is sufficient to treat cattle of 300Kg
- A 23.6g sachet is sufficient to treat cattle of 3000Kg
